Our Bio

Evan Mann was born in Miami, Florida. raised by his parents, Evan quickly took a shinning to performing. wowing floridians with elvis impressions and juggling (honest). but Evan wasn’t satisfied with being florida’s wayne newton. he took his show to the rest of the country, but this time through speech and debate where he would eventually hoist the national championship trophy in his sweaty adolescent hands. at 18, Evan made the move to Emerson College in Boston.

Gareth Reynolds was born in brown deer wisconsin to two people. his parents. there Gareth thrived by building trains and eating inedible things as a youth. quickly taking a shinning to improv comedy, he became one of Milwaukee’s ’1000 people to watch for…maybe…’ a title he didn’t take lightly. after realizing you had to apply to colleges to go to them, Gareth applied, and was begrudgingly accepted to Emerson College.

And this is where Evan and Gareth met. Gareth auditioned for Evan’s troupe, the swolen monkey showcase, a title neither had anything to do with, and Gareth got in. the two quickly took a shinning to each other and bong hits. so, there it started. after wowing dozens of fans across the city, they finished college independently and met in los angeles to form the b team, a sketch group. after starting with shows at a theater run by a crazy asshole, they began to perform at the improv olympic west and be produced by andy dick (the guy on celebrity rehab who cries and tries to fuck everything). the group eventually split, but Evan and Gareth continued to perform across los angeles and festivals together.

Since then, they mainly make hilarious videos and just finished a pilot for Comedy Central. and this is their website. check it! so, that’s it i guess. they are pretty okay guys. they both like sports….and ummmmmmmm………give them money. now!

A Foreward by Alex Byrnes:

Evan & Gareth: the Yin and the Yang of the comedy world. In a world thrown off balance, their jocular equilibrium strikes a fearsome figure against the forces of the mundane.

Much like Ethan Hawke in the Great Expectations remake, Evan Mann was raised in the sunny confines of Florida, yearning for something more; love, truth, beauty… none of these things mattered in the face of comedic heroics. Gareth Reynolds, much like Pip in the book Great Expectations, was raised on the working class streets of England, striving to make the world laugh again. After boresome sea voyage to America fraught with the perils of somber Europeans, Gareth finally made his way to the city of Boston where a comedy alliance was struck that would change the very course of history.

In the hallowed halls of Emerson College, their paths converged and a common goal was forged: teach the people how to laugh again. No small task in these far too serious days. But if anyone was up for it, it was the Hebrew Hughley and the Blonde Belushi (Jim, not John). The task was daunting, the odds formidable. Their enemies were limitless and the obstacles were increasingly maddening. But they would not turn away in the face of adversity; their mission was too great, too important to humanity. With nothing more than steel reserve and the knowledge that their message was needed, the duo hitchhiked across the United States on a harrowing journey of discovery to the City of Angels.

There they made their base and compiled the weapons they would need for their assault of laughter. They trained in the lost arts of joviality. They became, in a sense, Ninjas of Comedy, creeping up on you, silently in the night. Before you know it, the cold steel of their Joke Kitanas is pressed against you jugular. A trickle of blood is spilt and the job is finished. Only you laugh instead of die.

Now their training is complete. They are Ninjas no longer. Now, they are Samurai. And you are their master. Welcome to their domain.
